How do I get to the tournament?

A. From the North: Come south on Highway 29 to Pike Road, (approximately 3 miles north of Alex) and take a right. There will be a sign marking the turn, follow the signs a short distance to the parking lot.

From the South: Take the first Alex exit off of I94 if on the freeway and stay on Hwy 29/Broadway north all the way through the business district. Take a right on 3rd Ave/Hwy 27 and go 6 blocks to the next stoplight where you will take a left on Hwy 29. Bear to the right at a "Y" intersection and head north on Highway 29 approximately 3 miles to Pike Road. Take a left at the sign marking the turn, and follow the signs a short distance to the parking lot.

From the East: Find Highway 29 leading north out of Alex, and depending on your position north or south of Alex, follow one of the first two sets of directions.

From the West: Find Highway 29 leading north out of Alex, and depending on your position north or south of Alex, follow one of the first two sets of directions.

How do I get the tickets I bought online?

A. Tickets purchased online or by mail prior to January 22th 2010 will be mailed to you. If you purchase your tickets online or through the mail after January 22th 2010, your tickets will be at the "Will Call" booth at the tournament gate.

Where can I buy tickets?

How do I get help on and off the ice if I'm handicapped?

A. If assistance or accommodations are needed to get onto the ice for handicapped people please request via email icefish@icefishingchallenge.org or jkmcjt@charter.net. You may also call (320) 808-5096 if needed.

Can I bring my own beverages into the tournament area?

A. Beverages are allowed as long as they are not in a glass container. NO GLASS CONTAINERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ICE. CONTAINERS WILL BE CONFISCATED AND NOT RETURNED. We will have vendors selling pop at the Challenge however no alcohol will be available on the grounds.

Can a friend or family member come and watch me fish if they don't have a ticket?

A. Spectators are allowed on the ice, including well-behaved children. The course is set up on a 10' by 10' grid hole pattern, so it is important that all spectators are well behaved and do not bother other fisherman . . . spectators not complying will be asked to leave. Be sure to bring an extra bucket or chair to make it easier for people to stay within your fishing area.

Can I use a fish locator or an under water camera?

A. Electronics are ok to use before (as you are choosing the hole you will fish out of) and during the contest. This includes under water cameras as we are abiding by all State of Minnesota Fishing Regulations.

Can I register more than one fish?

A. You may register as many fish as you want but only the heaviest fish will remain in the contest, and each fisherman is allowed to win only one competition prize.

Where do I pick up my prize?

A. Most prizes can be picked up at the tournament. Several of the major prizes will require going to the business that has provided the prize for warranty, registration, and other applicable paperwork requirements.

How many tickets are being sold to this year's Ice Fishing Challenge?

A. The number of participants is not being limited.
